Unit Worker/Van Loader 16 hrs per week

Temporary contract 1st April to 30th September 2019
We are seeking two people to help us in our unit in Tockington.
8 hrs Monday/8 hours Thursday
9.30 am – 5.30 pm. Overtime may be available.

Essential Requirements

  • 18 years old or over
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Own transport essential
  • Able to lift heavy objects – although some equipment available to support with this.

Temporary contract from 1st April to 30th September 2019. Working under the direction of the Unit Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ability to work in the UK (proof of ID required)
  • Loading and unloading vans
  • Ability to drive a 3.5ton tail lift van (this is so that you can move vans around our unit space – short training session provided)
  • Basic equipment maintenance – training given
  • Tidying and keeping the unit organised
  • Basic Maths skills
  • Completing forms and checking inventory lists
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Reliable, trustworthy and conscientious
  • Able to lift and carry heavy objects – trolleys and other equipment available to support with this, but you will still need to be able to lift crates, roll barrels etc.
